Yeah, someone or anyone, please give your review on Joomlaport. I have not used it so I can't say much about it. Your review will be helpful to many forum members here.

well here's my review i found Joomlaport is the FUBU of joomla web hosts. For those not familiar with FUBU (For Us By Us), the name says it all. Joomlaport is a hosting compuany that is run by a joomla user and developer and is dedicated to the joomla community.

Joomla Port offers 5 different packages ranging in price from $2.10 to $33.33 per month. Depending on your needs I am sure you can find a package that fits.

Price: $8.33
Disk Space: 1 GB
Bandwidth: 20 GB

it also provide free domains when you purchase one of it's plan
discounts are available
24 hours customer support provided

Thanks for all the info. I have searched for Joomlaport on Google but there is a lot of tutorial and other stuff. There is a link for Hosting as well but prices are very different and I can't see FUBU as well.

I was also a little weary about Joomlaport hosting considering it looks like one of the smaller hosts out there. Not that "big host" necessarily means "good" or anything, in fact its almost the opposite as I personally have had a lot of bad experiences with some of the big hosting companies.

So anyhow, for the price (I took the $25 a year package), and with a 14 day money back guaruntee I thought it was worth a shot. The cheapest package (the one I took) seemed like a pretty good deal for me. It lacks the top priority joomla support the other packages claim, but I seem to get around in joomla pretty good and for my site 250mb was sufficient. All I needed was a simple joomla site for a school project, something that would run Joomla without a hitch, and thats just what I got.

I couldve installed joomla myself, but hey it was free, so I had them do it. They had it installed within an hour. Prettymuch a vanilla joomla install, nothing custom. I guess I point this out because I know siteground installs their siteground template with a link to their main site which just feels dirty (I know you can remove it)

The account creation was seemless. As soon as I paid the account was setup. The joomla install wasnt instant (I guess they do it manually?), but once again, I didnt have to wait long.

Ive been hosted there for about 2 months now and absolutely no issues. I ran into one thing where fireboard was giving me errors so I submitted a ticket on it. Turns out it was something I did but they fixed it for me anyhow and were pretty nice about it even though it was my fault.

Outside of that the speed was pretty nice. I had none of those security warnings that ive seen on other hosts, and every component I installed loaded easily (no errors). Everything else is pretty run of the mill that you get with every other host package.

I guess the only negative thing would be the lack of phone support, so I probably wouldnt recommend it to the complete novice.
