Joomla Hosting Reviews has not had the best experiences with DreamHost. We do still have one of our smaller sites being hosted with them to continue to evaluate their service.
Today the DreamHost March newsletter came out and it mentioned that one of their server clusters has been having and issue.

Essentially they have an new filer with about 150Terra Bytes of storage that is giving them issue. The server has been locking up every night. This means that the thousands of websites that run on this server are going down and running slow.
DreamHost has been working with the vendor to fix the issue but it does not sound like they have everything resolved.
Some of the comments in the post are very good. If Dreamhost new they had this problem then why did they continue to put new customers on this server? I was also surprised to see how many other customers have experienced the same issues that we did. It was these same issues that caused us to move away.
This make me very glad that we no longer have any of our higher traffic sites hosted with them.
It is my opinion to avoid DreamHost and go with someone like
Site5 ,
LunarPages or
HostGator. Joomla Hosting Reviews has had continued success with all of these companies.
