I found a free Joomla host, fjoomla.com. Your url will be “yourchoice”.fjoomla.com.

I found this site to be quite useful to learn Joomla for free. They set everything up for you and all you need is an email address to get started.

I wouldn’t use this service for anything important, but to get your feet wet with Joomla, I liked it a lot!

Thats a very good point and a great way for someone to get their feet wet with joomla.

I agree with you about not running anything important on that site. It does not look as professional to see mycompanysite.fjoomla.com as www.mycompanysite.com.

I can not tell you how many sites I have built with Joomla. It has been lots. So it has been a while since I have looked at the free hosting options.

What kind up uptime do the servers have? Are the servers pretty fast?

Thanks for the post!

I have not had any problems with uptime yet, but I haven’t used it a ton. The speed is about what you would expect from a free server.

I am using www.000webhost.com for hosting joomla forum. It is free. It does not display any adds. Provides subdomain.

That much feature is sufficient for me for now. Hope this will be helpful to you too.
