i am curious here.just wanna ask which is better?..Joomla or wordpress.
i have a website and need to start one immediately but spoil for choice.
anyone recommendation?

Joomla is built to be much more than just a blogging system. Joomla starts from the presentation of content. On the other hand, Wordpress is merely built around writing content and publishing those content. I would say if you are looking for a blog only type application then Wordpress is a good option.

If your are looking for a full functioning website with a whole range of components and functionality then Joomla is your choice.

I have build many diverse sites using Joomla. I do not think that wordpress has any where the range of modules and extenstions that Joomla does.

wow thanks for the article and review there..I am not searching multiple or complex functions.Just for a blog of personal usage.I saw some that uses Joomla and Wordpress and the question suddenly appears in my mind.What kind of functions does Joomla provide that differs it from Wordpress?You didn't mentioned it though.

Joomla has over 3,000 plugins. Some are:
Review components
Many Photo Gallery plugins,
ecommerce shopping card modules,
components that turn you site into a community
plugins for Google Maps.

You name it Joomla has a plugin for it.

If you are looking for a pesonal blog Wordpress is the way to go. If you are looking for a more flexible content management system Joomla is for you!

I would say if you are looking for a blog only type application then Wordpress is a good option.
It is good option but for newbies because it is easy to manage articles there but Joomla is far better than WordPress in thousand ways.
