Just Uptime 3 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 0
I was recently emailed about a service called just uptime.

Over the next few months I will be giving them a go and seeing how well they do.

Has any one used these guys before?

I signed up for the trial account yesterday and I have to say I am very impressed.

The signup was easy, the confirmation email arrived right away and I was ready to start adding my first check. Very simple to do, did not have read any how tos or documents.

One really cool feature that I saw but have not tried out is setting up a maintenance window. This features allows you to disable the monitoring if you know you are going to have periods of downtime. Say every Saturday night you take the server offline to preform backups, you do not need to be notified that the server is down. Setting a maintenance window allows you to disable monitoring for this period and keeps you from getting server down noticies that you are already aware of.

We will see how Just Uptime does over the next few months, they are off to a great start!

Here is the Just Uptime review and listing.

Been working with just uptime a little more and I think I may have found a limitation.

When setting up your checks there appears to be a character limit to the URLs you can add.

Has anyone else seen this?
